So, you are thinking about becoming a member of Woodcrest Church …

We are thrilled that you are interested in joining us here at Woodcrest. We are followers of Jesus Christ and continually pray for the Heavenly Father to send laborers to join us in the harvest (Matthew 9:38)

Joining the Church

Jesus instituted the church in Matthew 16:18 when he said, “on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hell will not overcome it.”  In this verse, Jesus certainly gave us our marching orders for ministry.

As the church of Jesus Christ, we are to advance the gospel in our community and around the world. At Woodcrest we pledge our time, talents and treasure by attending, giving and serving in God’s kingdom work.

We invite you to join the believers at Woodcrest in serving the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. His name is Jesus. There is no greater calling on earth.

Three Ways to Receive Members

1.      New Christians (click here if you have not received Christ as your Savior)

2.     Transfer of Membership

3.     Statement of Faith with PREVIOUS Baptism by Immersion

When presenting yourself for membership, please request a membership packet from the pastor or church secretary.  You will be asked to complete a personal testimony and personal profile, as well as sign a member covenant when you join. If candidate needs baptism, a baptismal service will be scheduled.

You are encouraged to discuss questions about membership with the Pastor.  He can clearly explain the manner in which you should join the church and answer any questions you might have.

In addition, you are encouraged to read the book “I am a Church Member” by Thom Rainey.
