“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future.” Many use this verse as sort of a universal security blanket but as author Mary DeMuth states, “The heart of Jeremiah 29:11 is not that we would escape our lot, but that we would learn to thrive in the midst of it.”  God is calling us to trust in Him and allow Him to work out His purpose in our life.
